December 30, 2010 - Snow Hinders Progression of Green Lantern...

Okay, one last update before the New Year of 2011....

As you can see, snow has blanketed the entire area and looks as though it will hinder progression just a bit of the Green Lantern coaster:

It looks like some of the larger track supports are being pre-assembled in the parking lot, awaiting transport to their respective footers at the coaster site:

I want to wish each and everyone of you a very Happy New Year, and may 2011 bring success with the opening of the Green Lantern coaster come late Spring/early Summer....

See you next year !!!

December 18, 2010 - Site Preparation for the Green Lantern Coaster Continues...

Happy Holidays

With this December update, you can clearly see that the majority of the Green Lantern coaster's footers have been poured, and the track supports are in close proximity to the site awaiting installation:

The "Bone Yard" area closest to the park, and it looks as if large, red dumpsters are being used to clear out this portion of the yard:

I hope you all enjoyed December's update, and remember to check back for many more that I have planned for year 2011. I am so looking forward to photographing this coaster as it goes "vertical".

I wish each and everyone of you a Merry Christmas & A Happy and Healthy New Year !!!

'Til next year, See Ya.....

November 14, 2010 - Site Preparation for the Green Lantern Coaster is well underway...

The site preparation for the Green Lantern stand-up coaster looks to be progressing nicely. I flew (2) CCW circles around the park, shooting more detailed photos on the second pass. Enjoy !!!

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I thought that Kingda Ka, Rolling Thunder and El Toro looked good in one shot; And notice Runaway Mine Train on the right and how it hides amongst it's newer neighbors:

Again, Rolling Thunder and El Toro look neat with the low sun and the shadows it produces:

An overall view of the park looking northwest:

I hope you've enjoyed the flight over our beloved Great Adventure and it's newest Coaster attraction for 2011. Stay tuned for another exciting Green Lantern / Off-Season Construction Update come December (of course, as always, weather permitting)....

And finally, let's take a look at Great Adventure's "Bone Yard" (see how many "pieces" of rides and attractions from yesteryear you can spot):

I hope you all enjoyed our beloved Great Adventure from above and continue to join me on my next park fly-over.

I plan on photographing (weather & conditions permitting, of course) the construction of Green Lantern in the coming months, and will post ALL updates to this BLOG.

Thanks for flying along !!!
